Hi! I have two children, Malia 2 years old and Kailani 5 months old. I’m really interested in having a third baby! When should I start trying?

Hi Miss Kalika, Thanks for writing in. So you’ve got a 2-year-old AND 5-month-old at home, and you still want a third? Bless you for having the enthusiasm to keep the family growing… If you’re husband is interested in having a third, there’s no time like the present to practice… but I would check with your doctor to make sure that you’re physically prepared to begin a new pregnancy. For now I would enjoy life’s greatest gift – baby’s giggles – and then see if you’re not ready in a few more months to really set the plan in action.

… because like most moms, I’m packed full of advice from others but I tend to go with my gut and fly by the seat of my pants (and generally this is happening at the same time). Even when my second child was born, I thought I would know what to expect since I had already gone through it all before. Wrong. They’re completely different. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. And I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!

I am mom to 5 kiddos ages 7-19 and KNOW that Today’s moms need other moms to travel the journey together so I created a new mom organization called 24/7 MOMS

I am a Today’s mom because I understand that this thing called motherhood can actually be an adventure all on its own – scary yet exciting, challenging yet rewarding, full of ups and downs, Yet worth every minute of it.

Looking forward to your new book

Because I have the experience of being the oldest of 8 and seeing what works and what doesn’t, and then I go my own way, gleaning what was good from my experience and adding some of my own.

I have just 1, but am loving every moment of parenting! I think being a modern mom includes being able to juggle the demands of life: dates with husband, friend lunches, business responsibilities, parites and events, and still have time left for parenting. Actually, it shouldn’t be time left… You make it a point to Parent and the rest just has to fall in around it! That’s what it’s like, being a mom today!
