Mother’s Day 2009… at Rouge Tomate in NYC

The day started off with kids jumping into our beds and surprising us with homemade cards and artwork…

We continued the day by celebrating Mother’s Day at Rouge Tomate in NYC with our families as RT hosted a special Today’s Moms brunch/book signing.

We held a contest, asking moms to write in about why they think they’re a Today’s Mom… and big congratulations to our randomly picked winner, Leah K and her family. Leah lives in Massachusetts and came to brunch with her mother, brother and sister-in-law.

This is a sample of what Leah wrote: I am a Today’s Mom because.. I’m juggling in a world where the role of children in the household and in society is constantly changing as is the role of “mom”…

The place was hopping.  We had mothers come from all over the tri-state area, and visit from as far away as Allentown, PA and Cleveland, Ohio.

Good food and good friends = the perfect Mother’s Day.  Thanks Rouge Tomate!
